The FASTer Way community is made of a diverse group of men and women—Doctors, teachers, firefighters, stay at home moms, and military members. Today, we honor the sacrifices so many men and women make for our freedom.  Our FASTer Way Veterans. Time at sea, deployments, moving to new countries, and separation from those they love.

Meet the families that have committed to serve and protect us each day.

Anna Avery- Hyes, Captain, US Army, 2004-2012

To me, service means using your skills to support someone to reach their full potential in their endeavors. In the military I worked as a logistician. My job was to support soldiers in their missions with all the “background stuff” they needed to do their job to the best of their ability. This is exactly what I continue to do as a Clinical Nutritionist and now as a certified FASTer Way to Fat Loss Coach. By supporting my clients with “background stuff” like nutrition and prioritizing their health I am able to serve them as they work towards their full potential in their respective skill sets, jobs, and passions!

Kristi Rice, Military Spouse

Husband: Jesse Rice, E-5, US Army 2003-200

Service means sacrifice and honor, courage and perseverance. It’s putting the cause before your own wants and needs. It’s living open-handed. It’s giving everything you have - body and mind - to give to those you’ll never even meet.

Katie Preston, Captain, US Air Force

Husband currently serves as Lieutenant Colonel, Air Force

Service, Defined: Service means everything to me! I truly believe in God, Country, Family and serving those entities. For me, being in the service was about being a part of something larger than myself with like minded individuals. I was truly in love with our Core Values of Integrity First, Service Before Self and Excellence in All We Do. I was excited to see that the FASTer Way to Fat Loss had such similar values.

Service, military service in particular, means to sacrifice and commit to something more than yourself. It means to put others needs before your own, and many times before your own families' needs. To serve is to give of yourself to better humanity.
