We are looking for a Social Media Coordinator to help us further expand the movement and support us during a period of explosive growth. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Social Media Coordinator is responsible for the successful task planning, assignment, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects. This person will take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into social media campaigns that represent the brand. A thorough understanding of branding and marketing, with the ability to vary style and layouts, is essential.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Social Media Coordinator is responsible for understanding KPI’s and defining them specifically for social media, collaborating with designers or copywriters to provide attractive and informative campaigns, monitoring all social media content, tracking the performance of the campaign, and keeping up with technologies used in social media. This person is creative, innovative, and able to easily adapt to rapid messaging changes.
Essential Functions
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think strategically. A Social Media Coordinator’s main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing our social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. You will also conduct market research and develop multi-platform social media marketing campaigns. You will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more customers and promote our brand. Ultimately, you should be able to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies. Our ideal applicant has a bachelor's degree in communications or digital marketing and several years of experience with content creation, whether that be in blogging, graphic design, or videography. You should also be skilled with Canva & Adobe Photoshop and other design programs.
Develop social media guidelines for our brand
Maintain a posting calendar
Maintain a blog calendar
Cultivate engagement with our followers and social media users
Grow our online brand through a multi-platform campaign
Assess our progress with tools like Google Analytics
Stay up to date on new research and brand direction
Collaborate with marketing and design teams to illustrate projects and objectives
Collaborate with designers, PR and other professionals on large- and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages)
Identify clients’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
Ensure all-around consistency of brand (style, fonts, images and tone)
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS in Marketing or similar field (waived depending on years experience)
Demonstrated work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
Demonstrated ability with Content Management Systems
Solid knowledge and application of online content strategy
Proven ability to publish blogs and social copy via a portfolio
Demonstrated collaborative, organizational, and operational skills with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
Goal and deadline oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
